This is only a fix for single player mode. If anyone at Happygamer would like me to send you a copy of the JOJ_WAR3.EXE file please let me know and I will forward it to you so you can link it from your game site for others. This allowed you to at least play the single player version. The only wat I could get the game to run was to install Warcraft 3 then the JOJ_WAR3.EXE file with no updates.
Once I installed the JOJ_WAR3 file I couldn’t install the updates, and if I installed the updates first then I couldn’t install the JOJ_WAR3 file. I did a bit of experimenting with the updates and also the JOJ_WAR3 file that I also had. I don’t recall having this problem when first installed. I don’t know why but I kept getting the message to make sure the CD was inserted. After wishing to play Warcraft 3 again after many years I also found it would not play, even though I was installing it off the CD and only playing offline on a PC that wasn’t even connected to the internet. This title was purchased eighteen years ago, and Blizzard is requesting users that can no longer play Warcraft 3 to simply go back to the original retailer and complain there. The second Game Master (Blizzard’s support) to respond recommended the user to bring the receipt of purchase to the original retailer, and ask for a refund.
